Celebrating 40 Years of Transport Studies

The School of Civil and Building Engineering was pleased to mark the ruby anniversary of Transport Studies at Loughborough with a day packed with various activities celebrating this special event.
The day included reflections and a celebration of achievements during the last forty years, including a Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony where four former students were recognised for their contribution to the transport industry. Current research, teaching and enterprise activity of the group was also discussed. Social and networking opportunities included a book launch and evening dinner on the Great Central Railway.
The event was well attended by more than 140 former and current staff, alumni, current students, and friends. We would like to thank everyone who made the occasion so special.
